The Orchid Window


Tube:  Sunflower by Zlata at Pics For Design
Kit:  Victorian Meadow by Devilish Dezines (flamin_bird)

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.  I used PSPX2
Please be creative and choose whatever you want to make it your own.
Any resemblance to this tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional

Note:  Abbreviations used in all my tutorials
Elements = El  Copy/Paste = C/P  Duplicate = Dup  Paper = P  Template = Temp

New Image 725 x 700

C/P El 90  Resize 70%
Select Magic Wand
Settings:  Mode Add - Match RGB Value - Tolerance 0 - Feather 0 
Anti-alias checked - Outside
Hold down Shift key  With Magic Wand select inside each window
Selections - Modify - Expand 3
C/P P 04 Selections - Invert - Delete - Move to bottom
C/P Tube  Resize if needed
Hit Delete
Selections - Select None
Still on tube
Change Blend Mode to Multiply - Reduce Opacity to 63
Effects - Plugins - Xero Porcelain - Default settings
Move down
Select El 90
Effects - 3d - Drop Shadow - Settings: 3/3/100/4/Black
Layers - Merge - Merge Visible
Move a little to the left

Elements - Please reference my example for placement

C/P El 99  Resize 90%  Move up - Dup - Image Flip Move down

C/P El 57  Resize 60% - Mirror
Use your Freehand Selection tool or Eraser to clear away part of over hanging branch

C/P El 37  Resize 35%

C/P El 41  Resize 30%  Mirror

C/P El 20  Resize 40%  Dup x 4  Mirror 2 

C/P El 18  Resize 40%  Dup x 2

C/P El 19  Resize 40%  Dup x 2  Flip 1 and Mirror 1

C/P El 69  Resize 30%

C/P El 60  Resize  25%  - Dup  Resize 75%  - Dup Resize Mirror 85%

C/P El 100  Resize 15%

Add a Drop Shadow to your Elements  
I used these Settings:  2/2/40/2/Black

C/P Tube  Resize 
Effects - Plugins - Xero Porcelain - Default settings  Except change Blue to 0
Add a Drop Shadow 
I used Settings:  3/3/50/10/Black

Select paper of choice for your mask
I used paper 3
New Raster layer - Move to Bottom - Selections - Select All
C/P  P  Into Selection
Select Mask of choice
Layers - Load Mask - Load from Disk - select your mask 
or Open up mask and Minimize it to your work space
Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image then find your mask - OK
Layers - Merge - Merge Group
Selections - Select None

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible  
Crop - Resize - Sharpen if preferred

Now add your Artist Copyright and your License info. and Name
