Spreading Christmas Cheer Tutorial
Kit: Christmas Time by Scraps By Danielle
Template: This is template 132mpm by my friend Millie at Millie's PSP Madness
Plug-in: Filter Factory Q - Gravity Blossom
Mask: Mask 7 by Millie
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. I used PSPX2
Please be creative and choose whatever you want to make it your own.
Any resemblance to this tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional
Note: Abbreviations used in all my tutorials
Elements = El Copy/Paste = C/P Duplicate = Dup Paper = P Template = Temp
Select your template Shift D to duplicate, close original
Delete TOU
Temp 1 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
C/P P 9 - Paste Into Selection - Selections - Invert - Delete
Selections - Select None
Temp 2 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
Flood Fill with color of choice
I made a gradient - Colors: Foreground #a0dce2 Background #34b8c4
Settings: Style - linear Angle - 50 Repeats - 3
Filter Factory Q - Gravity Blossom
Settings: Lens position x - 128 Lens position y - 134 E-radius - 91
Bloom x - 64 Bloom y - 73 Atomic 115
Temp 3 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
C/P P 10 - Paste Into Selection - Selections - Invert - Delete
Selections - Select None
Temp 5 and 6 Layers - Merge - Merge Down
Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
C/P P 11 - Paste Into Selection - Selections - Invert - Delete
Selections - Select None
Temp 7 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
C/P P 07 - Paste Into Selection - Selections - Invert - Delete
Selections - Select None
Temp 8 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
C/P P 12 - Paste As New Layer - Resize 60% - Adjust
Selections - Invert - Delete
Selections - Select None
Temp 9 - Selections - Select all - Float - Defloat
New Raster Layer - Flood Fill with color of choice I used #5001c
Effects - 3d - Inner Bevel
Settings - Bevel 2 Width 2 - Smoothness 0 - Depth 5 - Ambience 0 - Shininess 0
Angle - 315 Intensity 30 - Elevation 50 - Color white
Selections - Select None
Go back to Temp 4 the WA
If you want to change the color of the Word Art
Adjust - Manual Color Correction
Right click with your cursor over the color (it should look like your Dropper Tool) you want to change
Left click over the color you want, making sure your cursor looks like the Dropper tool
If you need to you can adjust the color using the Manual Target Color adjustments
Click OK
Elements - Please reference my example for placement
C/P Snowflake 2 - Resize 50% - Dup
C/P Snowflake - Resize 50%
C/P Stocking with Bells - Resize 25%
C/P Christmas Lights - Resize 75%
C/P Mistletoe - Resize 30%
C/P Peppermint Drink - Resize 35%
C/P Candy Cane with Ribbons - Resize 25% - Image - Free Rotate Left 70
Select large tube for inside frame
C/P as New Layer under "Frame" - Resize/Mirror if needed
Trim excess tube outside of "Frame" using Freehand Selection Tool or Eraser
Change Blend Mode to Screen - Reduce Opacity to 85%
C/P Tube - Resize / Mirror if needed
Now add a Drop Shadow to your Elements
I used these Settings: Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow 2/2/40/4 Black
Layers - Merge Visible
I resized 95% All layers Unchecked
Select paper of choice for your mask
I used paper 11
Edit - Copy paper
New Raster Layer
Move to Bottom
Selections - Select All Edit - Paste into selection
Layers - Load Mask - Load from Disk - select your mask
I used Mask - MPM mask 07
or Open a mask and Minimize it to your work space
Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image then find your mask - OK
Layers - Merge - Merge Group
Selections - Select None
Layers - Merge - Merge Visible
Crop - Resize - Sharpen if preferred
Now add your Artist Copyright and your License info. and Name
